New Dental Plan Information & Forms New Dental Plan Information & Forms June 2007NEW RCSD DENTAL PLAN ANNOUNCEMENT Effective July 1, 2007, there will be a change in vendors; Health Economics Group (HEG) will become the new plan administrator. If you use a non-participating dentist, the reimbursement allowances for cleanings, the most commonly used service, has increased by $10. The highlights of the new plan appear on the reverse side of this letter. All employees who are currently enrolled in the RCSD dental plan will be automatically enrolled in the new HEG plan so no new enrollment is required. Covered dependents will be listed with the mailing of ID cards. The District’s next open enrollment will occur in November 2007 for January 2008 enrollment dates. Employees currently enrolled in the Excellus Blue Shield dental plan will have coverage for services through June 30, 2007. Employees have one year from dates of services, up to and including June 30, 2007, to submit unreimbursed dental claims to Blue Shield. HEG will begin mailing new identification cards out to employees’ home addresses beginning the week of June 18, 2007. The District will also mail new Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), in the form of a descriptive brochure, within the next two weeks. The list of the District’s participating dentist network, “RCSD Preferred Provider Dentists,” and the “HEG Dental Network” will be available on the Employee Resource Center at http://erc.enwisen.com.
